hey romantic relationships are hard work!! you have to be willing to put serious time and effort into a relationship!

the first 6-12 months id say are almost always smooth sailing cause its puppy love! it’s new it’s exciting it’s someone youre growing to love!

and after that period it turns into something else. dont get me wrong the puppy love might still be there but theres bigger love that encompasses that. n now you guys know each other! probably better than anyone else! youve probably spent a lot of time talking to and socializing with your partner at this point.

and heres the thing!! disagreements are going to happen!! miscommunication is going to happen!! nobody is in a good mood always and if youre around someone a lot youre bound to butt heads eventually.

n you have to be willing to sit down and talk. you have to be willing to put your feelings as candidly as possible. you cant hide things, you cant not talk about things and hope it gets resolved on its own. you have to be willing to change, to grow and learn and accept that youre going to be in the wrong sometimes.

love must always have room to grow so it can flourish—you have to be willing to grow with it if you want your relationship to work
